Annual Fall Trash Cleanup at Jordan Lake Rescheduled to Oct. 17
The 8th Annual Fall Trash Cleanup organized by Clean Jordan Lake has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 17, from 9am to 1pm. Fran DiGiano, president of Clean Jordan Lake, said, “The heavy rainfall has caused the lake level to rise by five feet, making it impossible to walk the shoreline on our original date of October 10th.”
Volunteers will still walk out to the shoreline of Stinking Creek from the end of Ryan Rd.

DiGiano added “Throughout this very dry summer, our volunteers took advantage of an extremely low lake level to do a thorough clearing of trash from the shoreline. But all this has undone by the recent rains that flushed a huge trash load to the lake from its vast watershed area.”
