Once again its time for The Hoppin’ John Old-Time and Bluegrass Fiddlers’ Convention and we are in need of volunteers. This year the convention will happen from September 17th through the 19th on the grounds of the Shakori Hills Community Arts Center. We have volunteer opportunities from selling coffee and sweets to setting up and breaking down and everything in between. In exchange for one 4 hour shift, the volunteer will receive one weekend admission plus car camping. Anyone wishing to work more than one shift may be able to apply additional volunteer hours towards the Fall Shakori Hills Festival of Music and Dance.

New this year we are asking for a volunteer deposit which will be returned upon the successful completion of your agreed upon shift(s).

If you are interested in volunteering or want more information, please go to http://hoppinjohn.org/be-a-part/volunteers/  or feel free to contact me directly at

Thank you!
