Subject: Be involved in your community of Chatham
Last week I attended a meeting of the Chatham County Executive Committee, a public hearing on Duke Energy’s proposed permit to store coal ash, and the County Convention for the Democratic Party.
While we may have divergent opinions in our community about a number of issues I think we can all endorse the value of public input and the democratic process.
I encourage all of our citizens to engage democracy with vigor and respectfully put forth their positions with strength in order to build a better tomorrow.
