Subject: More Pittsboro Matters
Yesterday I posted on Pittsboro Matters.
And I did some more research.
Do the folks around Pittsboro know that one of the leaders of this group, Jeff Starkweather, requested annexation from the Town of Pittsboro in the spring of 2013?
For some reason it was denied.
The minutes are available to read on the Town’s website.
Some in the community speculate that Mr. Starkweather was denied because he wanted to run for the Town Board that fall.
Is it possible that a large amount of the energy from fueling this crusade relates to a personal grudge and vendetta obscured by larger policy discussion of Chatham Park?
I think the public deserves to know that one leader of the group has an axe to grind and another has not resided in the community that long and lives as the crow flies near the bridge and road that the group is screeching about.
With so many axes to grind one wonder when they will have time to tend to the forests.
