*Free Energy Conservation Workshop Will Save You $$$*

Chatham homeowners can save a load of money in the coming months and years AND help to create a more sustainable community for all. The Pittsboro Presbyterian Church Eco-Justice group is making it easy to get started by hosting a *FREE Home Energy Conservation Workshop to be held at Pittsboro Presbyterian Church from 10:00-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 28.*

As a participant at the workshop you will receive FREE conservation tools (like low-flow shower heads and energy efficient light bulbs and more) and proven energy conservation tips. But that’s not all. By attending the workshop you can also qualify to receive $700 in energy conservation upgrades that will reduce your home utility bills.

That’s right! The Home Assessment and Energy Retrofit Program enables qualified homeowners to reap a $700 benefit on assessment and retrofit services thanks to a State Energy Office grant. The program provides for a professional home assessment followed by on the spot retrofit improvements (such as air sealing, water heater insulation, new filters, CFLs/LEDs and much, much more.)

In partnership with the NC Cooperative Extension E-Conservation Program, the Pittsboro Presbyterian Church Eco-Justice group invites all citizens to sign up now to attend this FREE workshop to be led by Laura Langham, the Energy Conservation Program Manager for Youth, Family, & Community Sciences – NC State University. While it is possible to attend the workshop without pre-registering, it will help the organizers to determine the amount of materials to have on hand if attendees will please pre-register by visiting this web link:
