Did you hear the good news? While Duke Energy was saying how great they are and so concerned about our environment and the health of us and our future generations, they were caught dumping out one of the ash pools in Chatham County into the river.
Did you hear the other good news. Duke Energy will be removing ash pools and……drum role……..moving the toxic ash waste to Chatham County.Chatham County may be becoming a toxic waste dumping ground if we do not start standing up and speaking out. No one else will do it for you and this concerns not only you, but your future generations.. In their health and being able to breath clean air and drink clean water.Contact your state and local govs. and tell them no. If you think you do not count, you are mistaken. You are part of a whole lot of people who have power. Speak up, speak out, boycott and vote. It does matter, never give up and go belly up. Your officials and ALEC count on your apathy.
Because of public apathy, counties and towns in NC can not ban fracking, because of public apathy you are not allowed to know what kind of toxic chemicals are being injected into your environment,because of public apathy you stand the risk of private companies taking over your property. This and more. Be aware of public manipulation. It is real and works if you do not ask who, what, where and why. The biggest use of words in this public manipulation seems to be jobs and guns. I got so much,’ they are going to take your guns away’ propaganda in the mail during the last voting period, I asked who what where and why and guess what, there wasnt. I quit NRA years ago because of their manipulation. They seem to be too much like the Koch brothers.At the viewing of the toxic coal ash ponds DVDs that was held at the Pittsboro library, there were few Chatham county people there to find out what is going on and what is happening around them. I rather think its because they are believing what is being said by Duke Energy and assuming the company has our best interests at heart. I assume this because I use to be one who believed what was said and did not take a look at what was done. They are as highly trained as car salesmen to sell themselves. Wake up before it is too late for our county. C
