Subject: shout out to the people at trash collection sites
Just who are these men and women who brave the weather, curious critters and bees and the stink of our refuse? They are kind people who direct you to the proper dumpsters, ensure that there aren’t any messes you have to step in to get your stuff into the bins, open lids for you when your hands are full and make sure the swap area is tidy. Back when my husband could take the trash, he would be gone for an hour chatting with the gentleman at the site at the end of Chicken Bridge Road.
We even saw one worker take an umbrella to his fellow worker at the other end of the collection site when it started to rain at Cole Park Plaza a couple of weeks ago!
Thank you for doing a job few of us want to do. We certainly appreciate it!
