Healing Through the Arts: 5-Week Workshop for Survivors of Sexual Violence
Monday evenings, November 3, 10, 17, and Dec 1, 8
This 5-week workshop will provide creative avenues of healing for adult, female survivors of sexual violence. The intention of this workshop is to create a supportive environment for survivors to connect and share with others in the community who have had similar experiences. Each week, a project or activity will be provided, focusing on the theme of strength and resiliency through healing. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the ways in which sexual violence has impacted their lives through creative individual work, and then will come together to share through group discussion. FVRC will provide all materials necessary to complete the activities and projects offered (examples of projects include: mask making, mandala making, claywork). All levels of artistic skill are welcome, no experience needed.
