Subject: Gratitude for Generous Hearts helping young mothers
I am writing to thank several kind persons who responded to my Chatlist posting on the need for clothing and blankets for 2 young women expecting babies. Â The response was beyond my fondest hopes. Â Lovely clean things that would make any mom smile. Â So very very generous.
If you are having a bad day – if you think the world is beyond hope — please look about. Â You may be passing one of these kind people who washed and folded and packed up and delivered baby things to be given to someone they will never ever meet. Â YES — these people are in our midst – angels too humble to call attention to themselves.
Also, many people across the years have donated yarn to the state juvenile center in Siler City. Â I am beginning year 7 of visiting there – and I see the joy it brings and the therapeutic effect of calming girls who have often experienced severe trauma.
Yes — there ARE good people in this world. Â And I say thank you Chatham!
