A good start would be to stop voting for politicians that pander to the fringe of one of only two parties

A good start would be to stop voting for politicians that pander to the fringe of one of only two parties. Get more than two viable political parties. Stop voting straight ticket (if you do). Stop giving support to those who profit off of divisiveness (cough*Jesse Jackson Al Sharption Rush Limbaugh*cough) But in this day and age, just about all your talking-head politicians from Obama all the way down to our own BoC contenders profit on the US vs Them mentality and polarization.

Just look at all the muck raking going on in the run up to the Chatham County elections this year (like every other election year).
