I wanted to post a reference for a company that just did some great work at my house. Craig’s Gravel Driveway Repair in Pittsboro was an excellent find for me. If you have a gravel driveway problem….I suggest that you at least consult with Craig before you start. He saved (what was left) my driveway and created a stable road. I’m very satisfied.
I was in a terrible situation with my driveway for the past 6 months. I live on a pretty big slope and have a gravel driveway that runs straight down the hill. Every time it rained, I was shoveling gravel back up the hill to no avail. I was really losing the battle quickly, losing hope, and getting desperate.
After considering paving for tens of thousands of dollars that I didn’t have, I did a google search and decided to give Craig Witter a call. He was a one man show out of Pittsboro and I thought maybe a smaller operation would be willing have a more reasonable discussion of what would be needed or possible.
Craig showed up and was confident he could help me. He gave me a reference from another job in my neighborhood. He said it would take him about a week and when he was done I’d have a gravel driveway that would last for years. We agreed on a plan and I agreed to the project with a leap of faith.
Well….I can’t tell you how happy I am with his work. It is truly incredible what he did. and he did it on time, on budget and without a single hassle or unexpected situation. He moved hundreds of existing landscaping rocks along the old driveway and built two beautiful walls on either side of the entrance. He’s literally a gravel and grading expert and somewhat of an artist with his work. He’s tremendously improved the function and the look of my driveway and yard.
I’ve had a lot of people help me over the years…but I honestly have never been as satisfied from a vendor with the quality and value that Craig provided for my situation. It has been an incredible improvement to my home. It’s pouring today and now my driveway doesn’t have a single piece of gravel out of place.
