Subject: 4 Pinocchios! Sally Kost is caught lying once again!

Sally Kost has exhibited a persistent habit of trying to redo the “truth” to meet her political agenda.

In fact these attempts by Sally Kost to rewrite the “truth” have been going on for years.

To paraphrase Jack Nicholas from “A Few Good Men” – Sally Kost can’t handle the truth!

She just tried to make up her own version of “the truth” after the fact.

A prime example of how Sally “Pinocchio” Kost lies to fit her needs happened in 2010

Chatham County commissioner Sally Kost made soooo many edits to the minutes of a joint Cary/Chatham County committee that clerks for both government bodies decided to transcribe the minutes VERBATIM .

From the Cary News is this example of Chatham Coalition Commissioner Sally Kost’s edits, which prompted the change.

According to a June 19, 2010 article in the Cary News – A Chatham County commissioner has made so many edits to the minutes of a joint Cary/Chatham County committee that clerks for both government bodies have decided to transcribe the minutes verbatim. From the Cary News comes this example of Commissioner Sally Kost’s edits, which prompted the change.

“Most of Kost’s changes have been benign – correcting typographic errors and altering a few words to make paragraphs read better in a manner not unlike what an editor might do. But some changes – deletions, to be more precise – have troubled town officials.

In December, the committee had an extensive discussion over the Aug. 31 minutes. Kost said she wanted to clarify several points of the conversation, leading Rowland to prepare a special set of verbatim minutes.

In the preliminary minutes for the August meeting, Kost is reported as saying that the county would work on design standards and an overlay district for the area after the land use plan is adopted. In the December review, Kost said, “I never said that. I didn’t say it’s after the land use is adopted because I think they need to be concurrent and it’s probably a point we need to discuss.”

But in Rowland’s verbatim minutes of the August meeting, Kost said: “One of the things that we were going to propose is perhaps we direct staff to start working – once we have a land use plan – to work on design standards and then have an overlay for this area.”

The comment stayed in the approved minutes.

Looks like our dearly departed Sally P Kost is still trying to skew the record in her favor. How sad.

There’s Sally Kost’s version of “the truth” and then there are the official minutes from the County BOC budget retreat on January 19th.

“*Commissioner Kost asked what the County would lose and/or what the county would save if the BOC met only once a month. Commissioner Kost believes it will save in minutes and staff time. Ms. Paschal stated money would also be saved on food and employee compensation time. After some discussion, the Board agreed to reduce BOC meetings to only once a month, effective immediately. **Commissioner Cross moved, seconded by Commissioner Kost, to reduce BOC meetings to one meeting every third Monday of the month, effective immediately. The motion carried five (5) to zero (0).”*

And so we award 4 Pinocchios to Sally Kost!
