Subject: cut the crap about meetings
I feel the response Sally Kost gave on the meetings was a direct attack on those who don’t agree with her .
It may have been a low turn out election but those commissioners won it . If you want to throw blame for low turn out election look at all the loyal democratic followers who said screw it after the dems smothered us and made getting anything done a long term process of discussions and long pointless meetings with higher taxes as a result of their work . No matter how you look at it the ones who won the election won it because those who did vote are tired of the crap dems have been feeding us all these years promising a progressive utopia while delivering more rules , regulations and more spending resulting in higher taxes on those who cant afford to pay them .
My taxes haven’t gone up since the TEA partiers took over as she puts it . I may not like everything they do but they do get things done and don’t waste time on endless discussions and I like that . I haven’t seen them meddle in our rights like the dems did telling us what to do with our property and what we couldn’t do with it . I have received an answer to every question I have asked especially by Brian Bock who always took time to respond to me even if it turned out to be a stupid question . I was once one of those blind democratic followers but I have seen the light . If taxes are to stay steady and things are to progress and get done the group we have may not be perfect but at least they are making progress and cutting out the crap ! The county commissioners jobs are to make sure the county runs efficiently so taxes stay as low as possible while encouraging responsible controlled growth . Its not an easy job but with the job comes responsibility to every person in this county . I feel some forget while creating ways to spend other peoples money and making rules that effect everyone that many of us don’t care for all those programs , expenses and regulations .
I am a Chatham County native and the things I want from my government are , lower taxes , teachers and schools to be properly funded , a good sheriffs department , controlled growth with fewer nonsense rules and regulations telling me what I can and cant do on my own property and a lean efficiently run county government period . So far that’s seams to be exactly what the TEA partiers are doing and I am beginning to like tea myself .
My daddy once said less is more , don’t overcomplicate the task at hand , don’t get distracted just do it . The best efforts are the ones that get a job done right with the least amount of effort .
