April 23, 2014 marked the official launch date for Vietnam War Veteran, =Pastor Walter =E2=80=9CChick=E2=80=9D McGill=E2=80=99s historic walk =across America originating at Kill Devil HIls, NC. At age 68, the second =oldest male American to attempt such a feat has walked over 200 miles of =the expected 3,200-mile trek to Santa Monica Pier in California.  An =American flag is his constant companion which catches the attention of =all motorists and pedestrians. McGill says, “I promote ‘a new birth of =freedom’ and integrity in America so that our children and =grand-children will have the experience of ‘liberty and justice for =
all.'”

Pastor McGill seeks community participation through networking with churches and individuals that share the burdens of our nation=E2=80=99s =diverse towns and cities. The Pastor says, =E2=80=9CThe family is our =foundation of society, and local solidarity is encouraged as America =finds healing through unity with God in whom we trust.=E2=80=9D=20

Pittsboro/ Siler City event – Wednesday,  May 21, 2014 / Thursday,  May 22nd

Pastor Walter “Chick” McGill, 68 year old Vietnam vet, is walking across America, calling for a new birth of freedom and integrity in our nation.  He invites all who agree with his cause to walk with him down East Street through Pittsboro (going west) around 8:30 am Wednesday and westbound down 11th Street through Siler City around 9:30 am Thursday.  He can be identified by his safety orange shirt and America flag
