What does an endorsement from an organization mean?

It means that  some person or committee has looked at a piece of paper that you have filled out and through some voting process, has picked one candidate over the other.  It is impersonal and arbitrary. What does a personal endorsement mean?  It  means that someone has known the candidate for many years, has worked with the  candidate, and is willing to personally and publicly put their name out there to  vouch for the candidate.  A personal endorsement has real meaning,  especially when a candidate is endorsed by the longstanding representative who  formerly held the office he is seeking, as well as other well respected  former county representatives.  Barry Burns is endorsed by Joe Hackney and  Wade Barber, among many others including George Lucier, Sally Kost, and other  former county and education leaders.  A full list can be found at  barryburnsnccom.

Barry Burns is a lifelong Chatham County resident and knows this county far  better than someone who lives in Lee County.  Barry is a retired educator  and principal, and his opponent simply lacks the expertise needed to turn around  our failing education system.  Joe Hackney knows what it takes to represent  this county, and he has endorsed Barry Burns as the best man for the job.

Please vote for Barry for NC House and keep our representation in Chatham  County!
