Subject: Our Haw Rivr
I live just up the hill from a beautiful Carolina river. Actually, most of us here in Chatham County either live up, down, or around a hill or creek that leads to the River. It is called the Haw River.
We pass over ther River as we drive to-and-from. We stroll along the banks or on the bridges.. We wonder at the beautiful carved Halloween Pumpkins. Some folks kyack, others tube, others fish. We watch the eagles fly, the turtles sun on the rocks, the heron fishing on the rocks. The River is called the Haw River. Today the Haw River was named of “The Most Endangered Rivers” by American Rivers for their 2014 list. Please check out the website for the Haw on www.hawriver.org .
The Haw and the Deep River come together and form the Cape Fear.
