Dear Folks

A great soul left us a few weeks ago and I can’t let the old girl pass on without a word. I’m talking about Dr. Roxanne Hollander’s sweet dog Winnie. She and Roxanne were inseparable where you’d find one the other was always close at hand. Their close bond was clearly visible and audible as well. Roxanne and Winnie would regularly burst into song for no other reason than the shear joy of each others company.

Winnie was the essence of love, anyone who has been to the Pittsboro Center for Natural Medicine was  welcomed excitedly with her big smile, joyful noises and her big body rubbing against their knees, ready to share hugs and greetings. She about knocked me down several times with her exuberance! Winnie loved everybody. No matter how you felt when you walked into the Center as soon as you were greeted by Winnie your heart was gladdened and your spirits lifted.  Winnie was a healer in her own right. She wasn’t a beauty queen, with her floppy ears and scruffy coat, she made it safe for us all to let our masks down and just be ourselves. You
knew she loved you anyway, her heart was big enough to hold us all. Winnie was a master teacher in the art of living the joy in each moment.  I’ve never met a happier soul.

It is no coincidence that dog is God spelled backwards. There is no purer experience of the unconditional love of God, than the love of a dog. Winnie’s love was a precious gift to every heart she touched. She is greatly missed.

Roxanne’s daughter is making a scrapbook of Winnie for Roxanne. If you have pictures, or stories about Winnie or would like to send condolences please send them to Roxanne at energeticmedicineheals@gmail.com or mail them to 90 Launis St. Pittsboro NC 27312.

Happy trails Winnie, enjoy chasing the butterflies on the other side. We’ll look forward to your joyous greeting when we get there.

with
much love and fond memories.
yours, Toni Constant
