“Kind looks like a jelly fish.”

Possibly one of the fresh water species of Bryozoans.  Tiny colonial animals in a mass of jelly-like material.  Most species are strictly marine but a few are found in freshwater.  Often found around piers or docks, sometimes reaching the size of a basketball.  They are filter feeders that filter particulate matter out of water and are often associated with good water quality – consistent with your claim to a healthy pond with lots of wildlife.  Another of the hundreds of thousands of species with whom we share our planet.

Look up some pictures of “freshwater Bryozoans” and see if what you have is consistent with those pictures and descriptions.
