*Support Your Local Seniors!*
Enrich the lives of our senior community members by:
· Offering clerical support to a variety of council office projects
· Being on the Board of Directors and helping steer the direction of the Council on Aging
· Leading or Participating in Committees and Support Groups
*PARTICULAR NEED*: Delivering nutritious meals and providing companionship to home-bound seniors through our Meals on Wheels program in Pittsboro, Siler City, Gulf, Goldston, and Bennett
*PARTICULAR NEED*: Supporting Meal Site/Kitchen staff by preparing and serving nutritious meals at centers for Meals on Wheels and congregate
· Counseling seniors about Medicare benefits and health insurance with the SHIIP Program
· Helping with our *FUN*draising events
· Offering or supporting tax preparation services in conjunction with our VITA Program
· *Forthcoming*: Friendly Phone Calls/Friendly Visitor -call/visit a home-bound senior
· *Forthcoming*: Tech Literacy –help seniors learn electronic devices & programs
