Subject: Day of the Books /Dia de los Libros
April 26 is The Day of the Books – EL DIA DE LOS LIBROS at Bray Park in Siler City, including , music, mime, drama, food, fun, creative activities and a children’s parade, sponsored by Child Care Networks, to inspire children to want to read.
We want every child to go home with at least one new and gently used book to encourage reading interest. But we need your help to make that happen! Please check your children or grandchildren’s book shelves for books that might be suitable for donating.
There will be a large box located at Angelina’s Kitchen to receive donations in Pittsboro through April 22, and books can be dropped off in Slier City at Paperbacks Plus — 208 E Raleigh Street in Siler City – (hours = Wed 9-1, Thurs/Fri 12-5:30, Sat 10:30-5)
We are grateful to receive any bilingual books as well.
