All,

Make no mistake, Chatham Parks is all about profits and like every other development throughout the country, the tax payers foot the bill for them to make these profits!!!!

Let’s start with the impact fees….. The real cost is ~$12,000 per household, yes, look it up on line…. If the builders are not paying this up front, you and every other tax payer will, just look at the school bonds in Wake County…. These would have not been needed if the developers would have been charged the true impact cost. Then we have other developers at these meeting standing up and saying the tax payers never had to pay for Wake county developments!!!!!

Then let’s look at the sewer and water system, which is lacking in the areas they are proposing to develop….. Where is the treatment plant going to go and who will pay for it….. They only talk about the use of the waste water in the purple pipes, but bottom line; there are no plans or funds for building these plants!! Once again the taxpayers.

These people are masters at telling people what they want to hear, but leave the locals holding the bag as they head to the bank counting their profits……..

It is really shocking the elected officials say nothing in these meetings….. Hmmm makes me and everyone else wonder how much they are making off this project.

Then there’s the fact that the majority of the property owners directly affected by this development have not and cannot vote for these civil servants making these calls….. These people can only sit back and watch them do nothing, but pass it in the developers favor.

Make no mistake people, if this passes the floodgate will open and every PUD builder will be in here, building the same trash that other areas have been infested by and it will not be 30 years!!!!! I would be willing to bet more in the 5-8 year range.

  1. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS. This hits home. We will be paying for this development- which most of us do NOT WANT.

There is nothing in the plans to really help the citizens of Chatham County. We will pay for the severe impact this will have on our County. Not to mention the Haw River, wildlife, scenery, pollution from trucks, diggers, cars, bulldozers and so on.

Why our governing body(s) cannot see and understand this is a mystery.

As for 30 years- HA, HA. The laugh is on us. Give them 3-5 years of unrelenting destruction. As for other developers, yes, this is just the FLOODGATE. I can see them standing by “licking their chops”.
