*
Friday night at the Bynum General Store is the place to be from now until the end of August.  Many thanks to *Mipso Trio* for helping us kickstart the Bynum Front Porch Friday Night Music Series last week.  This week, *Squier Red & The Blues Band* brings their brand of the blues to the outdoor stage. As always, there will be food vendors on hand to supply a tasty treat and a cool beverage.

Next up. . .  *The Zinc Kings* (May 18th) will be bringing their Piedmont blues to Bynum.

The Friday Night Music Series runs from May 4 through the end of August from 7 pm to 9 pm every Friday night.  Although tickets aren’t required, we pass the hat and encourage a $5 to $7 donation to compensate the performers.  To check out the rest of the amazing bands playing this season, please visit our website at www.bynumfrontporch.org.  Also, find Bynum Front Porch on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.  And visit our sponsors Auto Pro and Hope Crossing Animal Hospital to thank them for their support!

One more thing. . .  from now until June 16th, each Friday night we’ll be selling $5 raffle tickets for a chance to win a Schwinn Aerostar 20″ kid’s bike and a Performance Girls Raven 24″ kid’s bike.

Speaking of June 16th. . . .

Bynum Front Porch is planning a summer fundraising auction with a newly added twist-this time we’re including “estate sale” items.  The auction will be Saturday June 16th from 10 am to 1 pm.  Many thanks to Ben Farrell from Custom Benefit Auctions (www.custombenefitauctions.com) who will onceagain be our auctioneer.  The auction will be held at the store so mark your calendars.
If you would like to donate an item for the auction, we welcome you to contact us. Your contribution will help make the event more fun and exciting. We are accepting various items: gift certificates from local businesses, artists’ work, baked goods, vacation vouchers, and any item that has been gently used-from tools to timepieces, furniture to figurines, paintings to pitchforks, cars to chairs.  Contact John or Debbie at * *.

Auction items as of April include:  Antique steamer trunk with lock and key; artwork by Anna Crawford; artwork by Virgil Johnson; bicycle helmets, tires, locks, black walnut foot stool handcrafted by Jerry Cates; Briar Chapel pool passes; Canon PowerShot A330IS digital camera; cedar creation by Luke Barrow of Rustic Garden Structures; Clyde Jones critter; Cooper Mays pottery; one-year membership to 02 Fitness; seven practitioner sessions at Pittsboro Center for Natural Medicine; photography by Ken Meardon, Shakori Hills Music Festival day passes; S&T Soda Shoppe gift certificate; tasting passes for eight at Starrlight Mead; Tushkins in original box; woodcraft by JNC Woodworks; Cathy Holt yoga classes and more.

Estate sale items are too numerous to list!

By coming out and supporting Bynum Front Porch, you will be helping us continue to host a variety of programs!

A few things we’d like you to know about the Front Porch Music Series and

2.  For safety, please make sure that children are supervised by an adult at all times.
