Subject: Chatham County Anti-poverty Initiative Information Meeting

The Circles® Initiative is designed to assist families in creating their own personal paths out of poverty. Volunteers and community leaders join in partnership with families in developing support, training, and opportunity with the goal of solving poverty throughout the community. Learn about this transformative empowerment model which is in operation in over 60 communities in 23 states, including western North Carolina. Get information regarding Circles® development for Chatham County.

The community information meeting will provide details about the structure of the initiative, how it will work locally, the organizational plan for Chatham County, and the needs for successful implementation. There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers. Please invite others who may also be interested.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. in the Holmes Meeting Room at the Chatham Community Library, 197 NC Hwy 87 N, Pittsboro, NC 27312.

We are attempting to schedule a community information meeting in the western part of the county during the first week of May and will announce the date and location as soon as possible.
