Holiday Gift Market
Chapel in the Pines Presbyterian Church and Evergreen United Methodist Church are jointly hosting Simple Gifts: Alternative Gift and Fair Trade Market, this Friday, November 18 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, November 19, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Evergreen UMC (11098 US 15-501 North, Chapel Hill).
Honor the special people in your life with donations to causes that fit friends’ and family members’ values while raising funds for local and global nonprofits. A holiday card and gift description will be provided with each donation.
Participating organizations:Â Carolina Tiger Rescue, Chatham County Literacy Council, Chatham County Together, Chatham Habitat for Humanity, Family Violence and Rape Crisis Services, Fiberactive Organics, Francisco Coll School in Guatemala, One World Market, Take and Eat Food Pantry, Take and Read Book Club, UMCOR, Unique Batik, and more.
A bake sale will also be hosted to help defray the cost of the market with any additional proceeds from the bake sale going to the Take and Eat Food Pantry.
