Took our dogs out for an 11 pm walk and they wouldn’t even stay outside it scared them so bad. We are two miles south of the landfill. I have heard them for a long time, but not like Thursday night. Loud is an understatement, had to be at least 15 or 20 about a half mile or so to the west.

There needs to be an open season on them, my brother in law lost a new born calf last week to a pack of them.

Did anyone else hear dogs/possibly coyotes howling on Thursday night a little before 1am near the animal shelter? It was very strange…

you can kill coyotes any time of the year in NC, they are seen as a non native species that causes trouble, if you have a gun and one is on your property and you live outside of city limits you can shoot them on sight.
