Subject: I’d like to say I am very, very impressed that GSC went the extra step

I’d like everyone to know that, after reporting the service problems we had encountered (and yes, to the person who said all of us were complaining in the wrong arena, I DID say something to the hostess), we were contacted directly by a person involved with GSC, and they were very forthcoming.  Wanted a realistic presentation of the problems we experienced, and stated what the GSC is doing to address problems mentioned.

I’d like to say I am very, very impressed that GSC went the extra step to contact us, and it sounds as if they are actively pursuing the problems that seem to have a recurring theme: ie: the service.  There is actually someone in the store now to address issues brought up both here on the chatlist and in the store.  I never expected to be contacted directly, and just the fact alone that they took the initiative says a lot to me regarding their commitment to get the GSC back to where it was: for us, a special treat for out of town guests or a special occasion.  the one thing that truly bothered us about no longer going there was and is the fact that GSC is such an active promoter of causes we believe in, and there has never been any doubt in my mind that they were very dedicated in this regard.

My hat is off to the GSC for taking action to address problems.  We will most definately be going back and hopefully once again enjoy dining there, as we used to.  The sincerity that they displayed, and going the extra mile to directly contact us is not something that all businesses would go to such lengths over, and that is the kind of customer service that was formerly displayed by them, and is now being shown again.

So here’s a big “shout-out” and I know my family is looking forward to putting the General Store back on the list of special places to go in Pittsboro.  Your effort is commendable, and we’ll be there with bells on.

Now:  Chatham County: do you think you can leave Shot of Spro alone regarding their signs?  I get lost easily and need to know where they are when I need that coffee.
