I’m glad Lowes has taken a stand regarding not allowing dogs in the store. Why would you think it is appropriate?  Should their employees  be responsible for sweeping dog hair, mopping dog slobber or cleaning urine off items?

Oh don’t peg me as a dog hater..I have two furkids of my own (and previously had four) and they do not shop with me.  I will not risk my big dog hiking his leg and urinating on a bag of charcoal or fertilizer or any other item placed at floor level nor do I want to purchase such. I will not bring my purse-sized furkid in a purse-size carrier into the store to bark at every movement along the way. I have respect for fellow shoppers who may not like furkids, who would  be annoyed or frightened by my pets as we shop together in stores.

Check this out..a couple of weeks ago as I left Lowes Food at Cole Park, I observed a young man put his child and his dog in a buggy and enter the grocery store.  Last week, I observed a lady carrying a purse-sized dog in a purse-sized carrier into the Ulta at Alamance Crossing..and not long ago…I overheard a constant barking at Home Goods near Southpoint..another purse-sized dog in a purse-sized carrier in a buggy in the store.  I say leave your pets at home..they will certainly enjoy your story of your adventure once you return home..and bring them a treat!

Cheers,
Lynette
