Anne, I have a friend who makes a product called YAY!. It is completely organic and continues to work for a very long time. It is completely safe to use around small children and animals.
My friend worked with the relief units after Katrina, and this is the same product that was used for mold control. It can be sprayed inside or outside a home, on boat seats, on items that have been left in basements or attics, etc… We used it in the back of a closet at my MIL’s house, and it worked great. It is made from yogurt, blue algae, and yeast. The enzymes in the product eat the mold once it dries and will stay on the surface and continue to eat away until it is removed.
Her name is Heather Blackburn, and she lives in Franklinville, just a little ways over the county line in Randolph Co. I believe she told me she was trying to get her product sold at the Marketplace, so you may be able to check with them. Otherwise, give her a call directly at 336-824-4956.
She has her product in several small businesses around the area, but I’m not sure which ones. She comes through every week making deliveries.
