Subject: Flea Malls
To the Chatlisters who are looking for old fashioned Flea Malls…There is an indoor Flea Mall on W.3rd St. in Siler City,in the former Stouts Interiors building. There is a small outdoor flea mall next to Waffle House in Siler City. There is a flea mall on Hwy 64 West, just outside of Ramsuer, headed towards Asheboro. If you want to drive a little farther for a super big flea mall, from PBO,take the now dreaded 87 all the way to Graham, get on 85 towards Mebane and get off on Buckhorn Rd. As soon as you get off the exit, make a right hand turn. You will see the driveway on the left, but they now require you to keep going straight, then make a left at the next little cross road. Then turn left into a little dirt road which is the driveway. I hope you find this info helpful. Diana Brewer

Subject: new website for pollinator garden
For those of you interested in pollinator conservation (and that should be anyone who likes to eat!), take a look at Cooperative Extension’s new website for the Chatham Mills “Pollinator Paradise” Demonstration Garden at http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/chatham/ag/SustAg/chathammills.html
I added some new sections, most notably a “What’s in Bloom” list with photos of – you guessed it – all the plants currently blooming in the garden in Pittsboro. The website will continue to expand with lots more photos of all the plants plus other information. The garden is looking great and we are looking forward to having a good year with continued educational programming. The website includes a list of all the plants on site plus the nurseries where we purchased them.

Subject: Phil Stone Homes
Of the many houses I have owned over the years, I have contracted to build five. The last one was built by Phil Stone in Pittsboro’s Potterstone Village. Without a doubt, the design/build process and dealing with Phil has been the best experience of any house I’ve had built.
Phil listens to his customer’s requirements. He offers suggestions and ideas and is quick to modify build plans when appropriate. He keeps his customer informed during the entire construction cycle. He takes pride in his work and builds uncompromising quality into each his homes at a very fair price.

Subject: Habitat’s Transitioned Blarney: The Power and Gory
REMEMBERING the FALLEN and THE MISSING IN ACTION: Recently, some of us faithful customers visiting Pittsboro’s Habitat Stores noticed many smiling faces were missing- only to find out that they had be Transitioned into other positions. “Called upon to step outside previous roles”- In a rambling, sugar coated, almost repulsive letter, Home Store Director, Suzanne Stevens attempted to “explain away” the transitioned “changes”-

Subject: HABITAT-What you always wanted to know but were afraid to ask . ,.
The following is a letter from Habitat’s Suzanne Stevens “explaining” why some employees seem to have disappeared from their former positions. Employees that customers looked forward to seeing, chatting with and appreciating their assistance. Why build up such customer appreciation and then dump the employee, creating a void that leaves the customer wondering, disappointed and puzzled? Here is the answer we have all been waiting for- long winded to be sure, idealizing the facts and coloring the issues.

Subject: Bonnie Barrow
I am a client of Bonnie’s that wholeheartedly agrees with Mr. Sacca’s recommendation. My only hesitation is a selfish one. It’s like wanting to be the last person to move into a great neighborhood. I want to keep her all to myself!
I am recovering from a riding accident that broke my back. Bonnie addresses not only the aches and pains, but literally explains what soft tissue is being stressed, massages the pain away and often gives me exercises to do to help them heal until I see her again.

Subject: Chatham Health Dept survey- tick-borne diseases
Dear Chathamites concerned about ticks,
If you have had any trouble with ticks, even if you have not gotten sick, just pestered with bites (which is a risk of disease) please take a few minutes to fill out the survey below. Get all your family and friends to do it too. We have a lot of people sick from tick-borne infections here in this county. We need to enhance public health prevention efforts and medical providers knowledge. Thank you. Tick-borne Infections Council of NC, Inc (www.tic-nc.org)
