Subject: Haw River Watch Social

You are invited to a Haw River Watch Social!  Join us for camaraderie and to learn more about water monitoring research in our area and see some of our favorite river critters close-up.  Team leaders, can you please forward this to your team members–thanks!

Here are the details:

What:  Haw River Watch Social

Two Streams Project Leader Catherine Deininger will give a short presentation about our successfully completed three-year Two Streams Project  studying Pokeberry and Dry Creeks in Chatham County.  Then Haw River Watch Project Coordinator Cynthia Crossen and members of the Two Streams volunteer team will show and discuss our fabulous photos of the cool macroinvertebrates we found and learned to identify to family–sometimes species!–level.

We will gather at the General Store Cafe at 9 am–for coffee and breakfast which can be purchased from the Cafe–and have our presentation (free of charge) from 10 to 11 am.

Who:  for Haw River Watchers, and interested others.  Sponsored by the Haw River Assembly . Presentation is free and open to the public.

When:  Saturday, February 27, from 9 to 11 am

Where:  The General Store Cafe in Pittsboro
