Hello, All:
I want to comment about Charlie Adams Electric.  I called Charlie a  while back and set up an appointment for him to check out a couple of  light switches that kept going bad.

Charlie was here exactly when he said he would be, came in and  analyzed the problem, corrected it, and was complete in less than an hour.

I was thoroughly impressed with Charlie.  He knew what he was doing  and didn’t gouge me on the price.

Subject: Propane Gas Suppliers

I would welcome further discussion on Propane and people sharing info about what they are currently paying and who they purchase from.  I would like to find a cheaper source (that provides reliable service) than the one I inherited when I moved in to my trailer.  I am currently a customer of Foust Fuels and they have provided wonderful service, but they are consistently high on their prices.  Their price for “small use” customers is currently $3.2999/gallon for my 120 gallon tank plus they charge an annual rental fee for the tank of $50.  I know these prices change all the time, but I would appreciate any recommendations.

CORA (Chatham Outreach Alliance) gave away food in 2008 and 2009 to over 1,600 hungry families in Chatham County.  This was just one tidbit of information that kids and parents learned as they toured CORA last Sunday, in order for them to increase their awareness of hunger in our community and how to respond compassionately.

Subject: Propane Prices

I got a fill up back in August and it was $2.099 a gallon. I ordered more in early January and it was $2.559- I use Southern States in Siler City. I’ve had 2 guys at work in Burlington say they were charged over $3 a gallon. One said something like $3.249 and the other said $3.949 but that sounded like a ripoff on their elderly mother. I used to pay 99 cents a gallon for summer fill up from Southern States about 9 or 10 years ago. It has more than doubled since then and it does not get cheap in the summer like it used to.

The school district has written a mid-year newsletter – The Journey to June 2010

It includes a lot of dates -  testing schedules, science fair, all county music, Young Authors. Also brief items on things happening at each school and article on laptops and ESL.  Worth the time to read.

Subject: Redistricting Information sessions

The opening of Pollard Middle School provides an opportunity to shift attendance zones slightly so that schools are more evenly utilized.
Besides the middle school students from Perry Harrison and North Chatham moving to Pollard mid-year next school year, about 150 kids (Horton, PES, North Chatham) will be moved to a different school. There will be two information meetings and a hearing at regular board meeting. To see the map of the proposed districts, open this link and go to the last page of the presentation.
