A display chronicling Chatham Habitat for Humanity’s 20 year history, incorporating Home Stores merchandise and many interesting photographs, is currently on view at the former Home Store Too space at 467 West Street in Pittsboro through October. These items will lead supporters on a “walk down memory lane.” They may even catch a glimpse of themselves digging a footing by hand – the way early Habitat volunteers got things done.

I second Sarah’s post.  The chatlist is awesome!  Last week I posted that I needed a referral for drywall repair.  I got an immediate response.  Michael Hecken (Mike Of All Trades) came to my house and gave me quote.  He showed up exactly on time and finished in one trip.  I can’t tell what an awesome job he did.  I stared at where the hole was and I could not tell.  He also

About five hours a week handling tasks such as filing and organization, answering telephones and a bit of data entry at our administrative offices next to the General Store Cafe would be so helpful! Hello Everybody,
I just wanted to post some recent changes to our support group that were made to support all of Chatham County.
1. We are now located at Joy Baptist Church located @ midway between Pittsboro and Siler City every third Tuesday from 6:30-8pm. Thank you Joy Baptist for this generous allowing us to gather here!! This should give all persons the ability to more easily access this fun, supportive group.
2. Jeannie Roscoe and Jeanette Mitchum will be the facilitators for this group starting the 20th when our next meeting will be held. These ladies bring a wealth of experience, education and thus knowledge to the group. You will be delighted with the what they have to offer and what you get out of this.

Pat Staley will share a motivational message for non-profits and small businesses alike. Doors open at 8 am, program is from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
Admission is $5 and includes a fresh and delicious breakfast from Donna Bianco at Our Neighborhood School Pizzeria.
