Subject: Mushrooms Bye Extension
Hi Al Cooke,
I am the someone you refer to as gathering like minded souls that enjoy these “things” called wild mushrooms. I am Robert, but you already know that. Having had the good fortune of being a farm boy, I am quite familiar with the Extension Service. In fact, some of my best friends are leading Agents, and I vote for funding every chance I get.

Subject: Video: Al the Shrimpman from Louisiana in Pittsboro
You’ve heard about him on the Chatlist and he comes to Pittsboro about once a month to visit his granddaughter from New Orleans.
I had a chance to stop by and talk to him outside the Neighborhood school.
Watch him talk about how to clean a shrimp and a quick garlic olive oil shrimp dish recipe

Subject: Get your political endorsements in
Election day is Tuesday, November 3rd.
Everyone is reminded to get their political endorsements in for their favorite Pittsboro, Siler City and Goldston candidates in by Monday.
If you feel a candidate is not qualified, you have to get your email in by Saturday. That way your least favorite candidate and their advocates have time to respond before the election.

Independent Weekly reporter response “There was no harassment”
Follow-up on my earlier email.
Later this morning, the Independent Weekly reporter responses that “There was no harassment” on the Chatham Bulletin Board at http://chatham-county-nc.com/bulletinboard/index.php/topic,15716.0.html
1. I am Rebekah Cowell, and I live in North Chatham.
2. I am a freelance reporter for the Independent Weekly.
3. I had an off-record conversation, and looked into the address: 50 Chatham Forest Drive. When I googled the address, I pulled up a business – Voller Reality.

Subject: Hunting issues…
We live on Eddie Perry Road off Russells Chapel and as usual when hunting season starts we have seen carcass dumps on our road. We hope getting word out will stop this as it is a residential area although wooded, and the one or two hunters who come here lease land from residents and are law abiding hunters.
This was obviously a head trophy as that was all the was missing.

Subject: mass transit
Whenever a debate about funding mass transit comes up, there are many who do not want to spend the money because the numbers do not justify the expense. I would hope that we consider the monetary cost of not having a mass transit system. In addition to previously mentioned factors-traffic, the environment, global warming pollution.., what did it cost the taxpayers to widen 15-501 between Pittsboro and Chapel Hill? What was the cost to the people who live on the 15-501 corridor and lost their home or a part of their homeplace and its value because of the widening. The cost of doing nothing is not always nothing.

With these pests in the bathroom and kitchen, they might be drain flies. Or fungus gnats. Either could be reproducing indoors without the necessity of using your doors. Have a look at these two websites to see if it helps you narrow your focus on where they are and how to control them:

Subject: Pittsboro Bus
I would like to thank Randy Voller, Chatham County Commissioners, Chapel Hill Transit, and everyone else responsible for the Pittsboro bus to Chapel Hill. I ride this bus every day and am happy to say that the 7:15 bus is about half full every morning (a far cry from the 4 riders during the route’s first week in August).
A new bus route needs time to get the kinks out, so please be patient while the schedule and the number of buses is organized. If you would like to ride the bus but the current schedule doesn’t fit your own, let Chapel Hill Transit know at:
