Subject: Companion Camp

I have to take a moment to sing the praises of Tom and Susanne over at Companion Camp.

We had a family emergency and had to travel to Michigan last week.  With less than 24 hours, and in possibly their busiest week of the year (4th of July holiday), they somehow found
space and time to care for our 2 German shepherds.  They even picked them up and dropped them off at our house to make our trip less stressful.  We are overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity they showed.  They have always treated our dogs like family.  This time they went above and beyond to help us through an incredibly difficult week.

Subject: Franklin Hotel of Chapel Hill

I just wish to let everyone on the chatlist know about what recently happened at the Franklin Hotel in Chapel Hill. As was stated in today’s Herald, it was sold to a new group of people, very suddenly and unexpectedly. I did an interview with the paper to keep the business honest, and to put a human face on the hotel. I was honeslty concerned about what would happen, and about possible changes.
