He installed a nice wood floor in our office. When we had a flood  only a short time later, we thought we’d have to put new wood floors in.  Thanks to his advice, we were able to save the floors (and a lot of $)

How recently is seems that we were particularly preserving our walnut trees at the farm as very valuable future revenue source! With NC at the center of the furniture manufacturing world they seemed such a wise investment. The wood is certainly beautiful and I hope you find someone who will harvest and mill them and make something beautiful.

Due to the July 4th holiday, the Bynum General Store will be closed this weekend.  Our regular programming will resume next week.  On Friday (July 10), the Bynum Front Porch music series will host The Swang Brothers.  On Saturday (July 11), it’ll be time again for Bynum Front Porch Pickin’.

Come visit the market in July for lots of great summer produce and some exciting special events!  On July 2nd Fleming Phann from Celebrity Dairy will be hosting a cooking demo.  Fleming will be showing market visitors how to make pitas using local and seasonal products.  On July 9th, plan to visit the market and stay awhile to listen to some great local musicians.  Betsy Kraus and Sue Wilson will be playing concertina and hammered dulcimer. The market is held each Thursday, 3:30-6:30pm, at the Chatham County Fairgrounds. Hope to see you there! Reading over today’s chatlist posts I would like to say once again that I was in the wrong in as much as I used the PLENTY to discriminate against Antonella’s.  I recognize I was unfair to Antonella’s and also that I misrepresented the PLENTY group, who has stated clearly that the PLENTY should not be used to target groups that do not accept it.  I would like to sincerely apologize to both for that.  I also sent a private apology to Antonella over email yesterday.

If Memory serves me right, Melissa was involved in the opening of the Chatham Market Place.

She may have a vested interest in it and then she moves on to start other market places in other communities.
When she was here she had an attitude that others may have experienced as Gene did.

I am wondering about how the monies are handled in this clever marketing scheme.
It also doesn’t make the Marketplace look good and does she represent them in regard to the plenty.
