Subject: Chatlist housekeeping this week – pruning & Juno
Just wanted to let folks know that I will be pruning off email addresses this week that have bounced back numerous times. This adds to the efficiency of the chatlist. After the cleanup it also gives me a clearer picture of whether we have over 2,900 members or close to that number.
Also, there have been intermittent bounces from juno email accounts over the last several weeks. I will be dropping the juno email folks and email and see what the problem is.
Important note: No juno account members will be dropped from the chatlist during this process.

Sure sounds like a Jackalope to me.
Has anyone in the Russells Chapel Road area seen anything that looks like deer but are only a foot or so tall? My husband has seen them in the road and I thought he was nuts until I saw two in a neighbors field and one of them had a rack of antlers just like a buck but was about as tall as our hubcap! I emailed the DNR and they say there is no news of drawf deer butsomeone may have been raising miniatures on a farm and some got out. Does anyone know of such a farm?

PERPETUAL SLUDGE?by Tim Keim
It was last August that I first took up the issue of sludge dumping in Chatham, surrounding counties, and yea the nation. I knew then that the subject and the damage done to our rivers and lands would not go away or be properly addressed by county, state or federal authorities.

Mark……..in your heart of hearts, you have the answer to your own wonderings. The ones who are struggling to keep it together these days wake up to see what else we are going to have to give up to “fix” the economic crisis of the state.
The ones in Raleigh with the power created this fiasco, but John Q. Public is going to be responsible to fix it. People are losing unemployment benefits and still no jobs to be found. It cuts to the core to see a grown man cry on television because he has a family to support, his benefits are gone and he has no job to replace the one where he was laid off.

Subject: Who you gonna call? Greg Stafford
I thought I would let you know that anytime that I get a ticket that my first call is to Greg Stafford, attorney in Pittsboro (his office is right downtown) and he also has an office in Chapel Hill. He is not only a friend of the family, but my lifesaver for putting up with me by getting me out of ALL of my speeding tickets (I have slowed down now I promise)! I have no idea about payment plans or whatnot but if you need a killer traffic attorney then he is the man to call. That is just my two cents!

Mia,
That’s really sad to hear. So when or if there are changes or problems in the system that parents don’t agree with, I don’t see how they can complain if no one is involved. Things have changed. Used to be there was always a presentation of some sort by the hosting school. A brag list or a list of needs and concerns was presented by the PTSA.

…..is still alive and kicking despite a 2 week setback which included myself being checked out for a possible heart condition at Rex Hospital and other evaluations that last a week, but even at 58, I passed all the tests with flying colors and am ready to fully get back ‘in the saddle’. Yep, I would like to be retired or at least semi-retired by now too, but I just join millions of others in the same boat, at least really love what I do now, and am glad it was not check out time for me yet. I am very thankful to supportive friends, family, and God and to humor it up a little, as a friend I used to work with always used to say when things went haywire, a true New Yorker from the Bronx…”what ‘ya gonna do”? Sounded just like something out of an old TBS movie.
