The discussion about using “real names” on the chatlist [and bulletin board] comes up every several years (usually around election time).

Please don’t underestimate the chatlist [and bulletin board] member.  Chatlist [and bulletin board] members are intelligent enough to evaluate the source of an anonymous writing.  They can see it is anonymous.  They can evaluate its anonymity along with its message, as long as they are permitted, as they should be, to read that message.  And then, once they have done so, it is for them to decide what is “responsible,” what is valuable, and what is truth.

Subject: A message from the Chatham Citizen Corps Council

File of Life

This safety suggestion has nothing to do with the current swine flu outbreak, but it is a practice that the Chatham Citizen Corps Council recommends to residents as a prudent measure year round.

The File of Life program was officially rolled out at the April 28 2007 Are You Ready? Fair.  Over 2000 Kits have been given away at 20 sites including Medical Offices, Council on Aging, EMS , Health Department, community college, Churches, and places of employment.  The Program was underwritten by Safe Communities, and the Kits cost the Council one dollar a piece.

My wife and I have been going to New Branch Chiropractic for a few months now and I am quite happy with them.

I started out after a wreck and the effect has been so good that I even sleep better at night and don’t wake up stiff and sore in the morning.

I’d certainly recommend New Branch… They’re just a few doors down from the Carolina Brewery up by Lowes.

Sharon and others, an associate in my office, Chatham County Planning Department, has looked into this posting and we think this is a hoax.

I suppose it could become a reality in the future that Chatham County or the Town of Pittsboro could receive an application such as this, but this posting seems to be bogus.

Today, I read a post in  the Chatlist that a gentlemans club is waiting to come to Chatham County if this passes. Is this the way to better the quality of life in Chatham County? Believe it or not, there are people who object to Liquor by the Drink and the effects that it will have .
