Subject: PBO Traffic Circle.
I would have to say there is no problem with the traffic circle. The problem lies with the drivers who either don’t know how to navigate around it or are just plain discourteous. I’d much rather have a circle than a traffic light.
Also, just because someone perceives a problem with a particular entrance to the circle doesn’t mean they are targeting specific people. I come from the General Store way regularly but I don’t live in Siler City. I also regularly enter from 15-501 headed south too and don’t live directly N or S of the circle. Oh yes, I also enter the circle from Hardees direction too
but I don’t live out there either.

Subject: Healthy Chatham Health Care Resource Guides Now Available
The Healthy Chatham Affordable Health Care Task Force which is sponsored by the Chatham County Public Health Department has assembled a health care resource guide which lists a wide range of Chatham County health and medical resources. The guide lists providers, whether they accept Medicaid and Medicare, have discount programs for uninsured or underinsured patients, and what languages are spoken at the practice. Residents will be able to use the guide to help make decisions about health care.

Great project. When I was in that phase, we tried “The Generations Gap” in Siler City. It required more supervision for a more extended time and we burned out. Do better in Pittsboro this time. You won’t do anything more important for your community. And many of those teens would have an opportunity to develop their managerial skills and contribute rather than just “hang out”.

It’s been a couple o’ weeks since the Pittsboro Town Board met to consider its participation in bus service in cooperation with Chapel Hill Transit, Chatham County and the federal government. I’ve had time to mull over the statements and consult the meeting minutes provided to me by Town Clerk, Alice Lloyd. I was present at the meeting.
