Co-sponsored by the Chatham Community for Alcohol and Drug Free Youth and Chatham County Schools, seniors and their guests enjoy a fun-filled evening with music, games and plenty of food in a safe graduation celebration that is alcohol and drug
free.  ³It is our communities¹ way of sending a clear message to our children that alcohol and other drug use does not have to be a part of their lives,² said Susan Powell, coordinator of the Chatham Coalition for Alcohol and Drug Free Youth.

The Hispanic Liaison is organizing our annual Fiesta Latina on Saturday June 13th from 12-7 at Shakori Hills.  The Fiesta is a multicultural celebration unique to Chatham County. We would love your support!

We are looking for community involvement in the following ways:
-General Volunteers (Parking, Set-up, Clean-Up, etc)
-Volunteers for Youth Activities (Face painting, games, storytellers, Music, and More!)
-Instructors for Dance, Movement and Music workshops for all ages

-Arts and Crafts Vendors

Sorry Cal that you consider my two emails blasting you, but maybe if you think that, you may have considered a scowl on a cops face or shortness of words as a shortcoming. As other posters have said, the speeding done in Pittsboro lends itself to endangering others, both pedestrians and motorists.  The speed limit is there for a reason, for the safety of all.

Subject: Place for kids to hang out

I was taken by Carol Thurber’s plea for a place for school kids from Horton Middle School to congregate after school instead hanging out at the restaurants, etc.

She make so much sense and I do hope that the school, parents and community leaders will find a place for them as soon as possible. What is happening to the old PTA Thrift
place?  That seems like a great place for kids – plenty of room and a central location.  I don’t have children but I would be glad to offer to help in any way that I could.  Maybe I could
get my friends here in Fearrington Village to give financial assistance.
