The Chatham Conservative Voice held our Community Forum on the ICE Resolution last evening. We have been working hard to thoroughly research the resolution and the process by which it was drafted.
Clearly with Lucier backing out at the last minute, the meeting also became a rally cry for open government! For this group of elected officials to decline an opportunity to come before the people of Chatham, even if we don’t agree with them, says a lot about who they are willing to take input from. This same group of elected officials campaigned on platforms of open
government.

In the past month I received a speeding ticket on 15-501 about a mile from the circle. I was in fact traveling over the posted speed and I am freely willing to admit my guilt in this matter.
Despite this I can honestly say that I am not a criminal. I have never been arrested, I have never been in police custody and I have never even been questioned by the police in
Pittsboro or anywhere else on the planet. I say this because I want y’all to know that I lead a law abiding life and I am above suspicion.

Thirty years ago I met my husband of 24 years. He hunted almost anything edible and between my garden and his hunting we bought only the bare necessities from the stores. At first I hated the fact that he killed the little Bambis. Since I have lived in the very rural area of Chatham County I want every visible deer killed. They destroy my decorative and edible
plants – all my gardens. We have two herds on our 75 acre farm each of around 20 deer.
