Pittsboro Montessori Preschool is growing!

Our program welcomes children ages 3-6 years old. We currently offer a morning session 2, 3 or 5 days a week.  We are having an Open House on Sunday, January 11th from 3-5pm for families interested in finding out more about us for the 2009-2010 school year.

A Montessori classroom is a multi-age setting in which children learn from each other and because of each other.  Everyone learns to take responsibility for themselves, the group and the environment.

Computer classes (and a Linux User’s Group?)

Subject: Computer classes (and a Linux User’s Group?)

Greetings Chatham County,

We here at Tritech Computer Solutions have been receiving inquiries from customers about the possibility of us offering classes on general computer-related topics.  Because we’ve had enough customers make such requests, I’m currently attempting to evaluate how much interest there actually would be in such classes, should we decide to offer them.  We
certainly have the room in the shop to do it, as well as the know-how and customer training experience to pull it off, but I don’t want to go to the trouble of planning classes and setting up a small lab area if it’s going to go largely unused.

Business introduction

My name is Kendrick Harvey. I am a carpenter. I live in Bynum and run a small business. I am not a salesman. I don’t talk people into things they don’t need. In fact I often talk myself out of work because something is unrealistic or too expensive.

I am living the life I’ve always dreamed of in Chatham County

From: Kathy Simmers
Subject: Business introduction

My name is Kathy Simmers.  Five years ago my husband, Gil, and I relocated to Chatham County from Long Island.  On LI I was a partner in a busy CPA firm where I had staff, overhead, receivables and stress!  My daughter, being much smarter than I, went to school at NC State and never came back to Long Island.  When she was about to have her second child, I realized that life is where the grandchildren are and told my husband we were moving to NC.  It was a great move for both of us. We sold our house in suburbia.  Now we live on 11 acres in New Hill with horses, ponies, llamas, chickens, dogs and cats and I am trying my hand at organic gardening.  I am living the life I’ve always dreamed of.

Subject: Good electrician?

Hi all-

Thanks chatlisters for previous good advice….and my post the other day found the owners of the fancy pigeon.  This list is great!

Now I’m back to ask if any of you have advice on a good local (Pittsboro) electrician?  We’d like some routine things done, but also possibly putting in another box and a second meter for our residence.

in the business and add to our tax revenues.”
