Our local food pantry, CORA, is in great need for some holiday restocking! Here is their current activity:
“CURRENT ACTIVITY: Overall demand for help remains far ahead of last year. In the first quarter of our current fiscal year (July, August, September) CORA provided groceries for 3,440 people. This represents a 70% increase compared to the same period last year. In practical terms this amounts to about 26 tons of groceries (52,000 pounds!) in this three month period.” ~CORA
*Just a reminder that Virginia Cross Elementary and CORA are teaming up for a Food Drive all this week.
Chatham Marketplace has many canned items on sale this week. They would make a great donation to a great organization.
