Subject: rec’s for landscape contractor for ceremonial tree planting?

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I need recommendations for a landscape contractor to perform a very small but important job.

This job is the planting of a single ceremonial tree (6 to 10 feet tall).  I need someone with experience in commercial tree-planting, willing to take a small job in Silk Hope.  I’d be much obliged to receive your recommendations.

Many thanks,

John Bonitz
Silk Hope, NC

Subject: Termite Inspection Recommendations

Hi, neighbors!  I want to do a termite inspection to make sure our house is termite free.  I am seeing that a lot of companies that do termite inspections push or require a termite treatment “subscription” for annual
treatments, and I have learned that it is just not necessary.  ( I’ve received some really good advice about what to look for and the wording et al, from our Ag. Extension agent Al Cooke.)

What is CERT?
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.
