My husband & I LOVE the Laurel Ridge Bed & Breakfast right outside Siler City.
BEAUTIFUL, secluded, forested setting, a choice of comfortable rooms, lovely garden, and breakfasts to DIE for!! We go there ourselves now and again for get-away weekends.

Subject: Rosemary House
My inlaws have stayed at Rosemary House three times now. We have joined them for breakfast and sat on the porch. It has always been hospitable and clean. It is my inlaws preferred place to stay when they visit…….which upsets me terribly!
Honestly, one of Pittsboro’s jewels!

Hi Everyone,
Well, the school year is under way and I am having a wonderful time being back in the classroom. I know what you are thinking,…how can she teach all day and cook too…well it’s pretty tricky but if you really want to know, put your running shoes on and follow me around for a day. I’m sure you will figure it out AND lose a few pounds.

Please don’t throw your weed whacker in the haw. It could hurt the water that we drink and would mess up my kayaking experiences.

Subject: Before and After the Storm
I’m not in the business of weather predicting, so I have no idea what the hurricanes and tropical storms in the north Atlantic will do. But I am paying attention. And for those of you who weren’t here in 1996, hurricanes have been known to have serious impacts in Chatham County. During the winter you can still see scores, hundreds of trees on the ground, all lined out in the direction that the winds of Hurricane Fran threw them. Central Electric had no customers with power after the storm, and much of Chatham was without it for a week or more. Some residents had major challenges, trapped at home, just dealing with large numbers of downed trees before they could get out of their driveways.
