Subject: Yeah, Northwood has a new girls’ golf team
Had a chance to sit down with Karen Crisp, the coach of the new Northwood Girls’ Golf Team. The team had a scrimmage with St. Mary’s of Raleigh scheduled for this afternoon.

We talk about how the team got started, what the goals are for this year and for future years. The current team consists of 3 freshmen and 2 seniors. Coach Karen hopes to build the team up to 8 to 10 players in future seasons. Anyone interested in potentially playing on the team next year can contact the coach now.
Coach Karen works at the Chapel Ridge Pro Shop and she is a LPGA Apprentice who is specializing in teaching the game of golf.
Chapel Ridge is the home golf course for Northwood, Carrboro and East Chapel Hill.
I think this can be a terrific learning experience for all the young ladies involved.
