Dear friends in Chatham,

My husband Mark, son Rowan and I have moved back to Chatham County after four years in Carrboro.  We’re excited to be here again.

I am currently teaching music at the Community Independent School as well as the new River Rock School in Saxapahaw.  Last year I held music and movement classes in my home in Carrboro for babies and toddlers.  Now that we have moved to Chatham I will be offering classes at the Pittsboro General Store Cafe on Monday mornings from 10-10:45am beginning with a free demo class on September 8th.  Songbirds Music & Movement is a space for young children to sing, dance, laugh, and explore the many forms of music, with their caregivers. These small, intimate classes for crawlers up to three-year olds include folk songs, finger plays, dancing, marching, bouncing, puppets, instruments and scarves.  Space is limited.  Contact Maia at songbirdsmusic@gmail.com to register or visit my blog at mamasongbird.wordpress.com for more information.
