Subject: Board of Education candidate’s deception
This will go to the chatlist and to the Bulletin Board
Is this the person we want on the Board of Education? Poll workers at Chatham Downs which include Flint O’Brien and Brian Lockwood are enticing voters with a handout for Flint O’Brien which is dishonest. This is a non-partisan, school board race not a junk dog fight and is unworthy of such sleaze.

Subject: please post-two things
First I would like to say that I find it REALLY hard to believe Dan Cahoon had any problem with Jim Cameron. Jim is a wonderful builder that has his heart in the right place. Dan on the other hand has no heart. To publicly humiliate someone about something that happened years ago is unbelievable to me.

Subject: Soil and Water Conservation Election-candidate info?
I’m getting ready to go early vote and have not been able to find any info about either of the candidates, except for the fact that J Lynn Mann is listed as the current Chair of the District Board on the Chatham County website.
Does anyone have more info on either candidate?
Thanks,
JoAnna Massoth

Recently someone inquired about Reflexology practitioners in Pittsboro. While I have already responded directly to that individual, I thought I might take this opportunity to do a little advertising of my business,

I am a massage therapist here is Pittsboro who practices reflexology, as well as Hot Stone Therapy, Aroma Therapy and Swedish & Deep Tissue Massage. A graduate of the Body Therapy Institute in Silk Hope and one of the six members of the Holistic Body Alliance, I have an office in the old Nooe house, on the corner of East and Small Streets.

Subject: Looking for pumpkins
Regarding the post about pumpkins, there is a great family-run farm just across the Chatham County line in Lee County where they grow an interesting variety of pumpkins and gourds. They also offer pick-your-own greens (collards, mustard, and turnips), which are only $5 for a 5-gallon bucket full.
I take my kids there every year not just because it is more fun to buy directly from the farm but also because the pumpkins have such personality. They come in orange as well as orange with purple streaks & speckles and in all shapes and sizes - not just the perfectly round & orange. Prices range from $1 for a pretty decent size up to $10 for the whoppers.. Most sell for $3-$5. Yesterday they were also selling green peppers, sweet potatoes, and straw bales.
