Chatham County 4-H currently has three clubs and is looking to form new clubs each day! All it takes is five youth and one adult to start your own 4-H Club! The three clubs that are active are the Chatham County Charging Champions 4-H Livestock Club, the Rocky River Riders 4-H Horse Club, and the Red Wolves 4-H Homeschool Club. All youth ages 5-19 are invited to participate in any of these clubs.

Subject: State 4-H Public Speaking Presentation Finalist
Chatham County 4-H member Elise Janson took her public speaking presentation titled Arthritis in Dogs to competition in Laurinburg, NC on June 26. Elise won the gold medal in her Veterinary Science division ages 14 – 18 at the District Level and moved up the ranks to compete at the state level during NC 4-H Congress. On July 22, Elise gave her presentation at Athens Drive High School competing against four other North Carolina 4-Hers. Allison did a wonderful job on her presentation and came out as the 2008 North Carolina Veterinary Science Class Silver Medalist. Congratulations Elise!

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
September 8, 9, 10
Mon. & Tues. = 9am to 4pm
Wed. = 9a to 12 noon
Hospice Office in the Chatham Mill Building
480 Hillsboro Street, Pittsboro
Volunteers are part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals serving patients near the end of their lives.
Volunteers serve patients and families in their homes, give office support and assist with special events.
