political or other arguments. My paternal grandfather was wounded in a skirmish at Drewry’s Bluff (VA) a few days before the Battle of Cold Harbor. Thank God for that, since if he had fought in that battle, I probably
wouldn’t be here. But I’m glad he didn’t bring shame on the family by deserting. Ed Williams

In an effort to increase voter participation in Western Chatham, the Campaign for Change is mounting an intensive effort to register as many eligible voters as possible before One Stop voting commences in October.

Young people who will reach age 18 before November, absentee ballot voters and ex-felons who have completed their time and parole commitments to the state are primary targets, as records show they comprise a large percentage of eligible unregistered voters.
