How did they identify who was within the “5 mile” range of this accident? What did they do for the people who don’t have a phone?

I live WELL within the 5 mile range and only found out after a friend of mine from Pittsboro called my cell phone to let me know… after the scene was cleared. My neighbor knew nothing either, and he lives within hollering distance from my front door. No one came to my door to let me know and I have a 2 yr old and 3 yr old in my home.

Subject: Robbery suspects on Thursday

As one of those residents notified via reverse-911 last Thursday when the Siler City robbery suspects crashed their car and fled on foot in my area, I was really pleased to be alerted to the danger and informed when the danger was past.

Thanks to the County Manager’s Office and the Sherrif’s Office!  We appreciate it!
